Leadership and City Councillors breaking ground in West Kelowna

It’s official… Carrington View, Highstreet’s latest project, has officially started construction in West Kelowna!

On November 7th, Highstreet team members, West Kelowna Mayor Gord Milsom, and West Kelowna City Councillors gathered to celebrate Carrington View’s official groundbreaking. The West Kelowna rental property was selected as one 11 winners out of a total of 51 expressions of interest in the CleanBC Better Buildings Competition.

Why is this important?

This will be our first completely net-zero energy-ready apartment building. This means that we’re officially 12 years ahead of BC’s goals of having all new constructions be net-zero ready by 2032.

What is even more impressive about this project is that we are building at about $185/sqft. We are proving that sustainable development is achievable without breaking the bank. Carrington View is both achievable and replicable all across Western Canada.
